CEO's Letter

Dear Customer,
As we enter 2012, my fourth year as CEO, we at Bio-Optronics continue to accompany our healthcare and clinical research customers on their journey through an ever changing landscape, providing software and services that address some of their most complex workflow challenges.
Our systems handle scheduling, tracking, collaboration, communication, resource optimization, finances, and many other facets of workflow, helping thousands of healthcare providers and clinical researchers around the world deliver the best medicine and efficiently bring new life-enhancing products to market.
In the area of clinical trials, the number of investigative sites using our Clinical Conductor Site Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) has more than tripled since I joined in 2008, and it is now operating on five continents. We have continued to evolve the system to keep up with changing requirements. For example, we offer innovative tools to improve patient recruitment and better manage the patient experience throughout the study. I am also very pleased with the early progress of Clinical Conductor Enterprise CTMS, helping sponsors, CROs and SMOs and large healthcare groups gain speed, efficiency, quality and compliance by coordinating and tracking the activities of large networks of sites participating in a vast portfolio of studies.
For healthcare providers, our Momentum intelligent medical staff and patient scheduling solutions assist in assuring that the right resources are in the right place at the right time. And we’ve branched out into the areas of teleradiology and telemedicine, providing intelligent, rule-based logic for case dispatching. In this way, we match each case to the right medical professional, based on competency, availability and equitable capacity distribution.
A mainstay of our product line, bioPoint, is now serving more than half of the Veterans Administration hospitals in the U.S. to positively identify patients and carefully match the right care to the right patient.
