Job Description:
Developers are responsible for being the subject matter experts and key
contributors to designing, coding, testing, deploying, debugging and documenting
software applications. Bio-Optronics develops software applications for
manufacturing and health care customers.
Duties:
- Develop software modules as assigned by project managers
- Resolve bugs in existing applications.
- Work alongside software testers to maximize efficiency and quality and eliminate
errors
- Understand and apply new software and hardware technologies as necessary
Skills:
- Strong software development skills.
- Effective communication with peers and ability to multitask and work in a team
environment with a can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of Web based technologies (html, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and XML).
- Knowledge of relational databases including: MS SQL, Oracle, and MS Access.
- Knowledge of PC based programming languages: Visual Basic (VB6), C++, Active X &
Com components.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems rapidly and work with
third party software.
- Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete robust
projects.
Experience:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and provide examples of previous work for
evaluation; 5 years of software development experience
preferred.
Education:
AAS Degree in CS, Information Management/Technology, related field or equivalent
required. BA/BS Degree in CS, Information Management/Technology,
equivalent or higher, preferred.
