For example, it’s the U.S. Joint Commission’s #1 goal and the American Hospital Association recommends standardization of wristband colors. Lack of integrated systems and standardized processes increase the potential for errors. Tools that automate patient identification and medications administration, and integrate the workflow with HIS and other hospital IT systems, will help enhance patient safety.

Our patient identification wristband systems assist in maintaining a safe point of care environment through photographs, bar-codes, alerts, and other customization options and assist facilities in adhering to the clinical warnings initiative for standardization of wristband colors. Our bar-coded medications administration systems integrate to the hospital pharmacy system and track the medication path from the time it leaves the pharmacy to the time it’s administered to the patient.
