bioPoint Testimonials
"We had a custom home-grown patient armband program that wasn’t very portable as far as the different models of printers we use and the home-grown program was becoming too time-consuming to support. We wanted to get something that would be easier to use with basic office printers so we chose bio-Point. It has been fantastic. The improved interface between our admissions registration system and bio-Point is the best part. Our old system had a 15 minute lag and it just wasn’t as stable. So now it’s a real-time interface and doesn’t cause us any problems at all."
"The implementation wasn’t complicated at all and wasn’t really time-consuming. We were really able to give Bio-Optronics a spreadsheet of our employees to help set up the logins to the system. We recycled the server that Bio-Optronics had. The interface was really easy to set up between our current admissions registration system (ARS) and it was up and running really quickly – in about a month or so."

"I have dealt with many vendors throughout my VA career and no other company has even come close his attention to detail and customer service. If only all of the vendors that the VA contracts with could be so thorough (Bio-Point Patient ID Wristband System VA)." , VA facility
"We implemented the bioPoint™ Patient Identification System to enhance patient safety. One of the biggest benefits has been enhanced patient identification through the photo ID. Also, we no longer have to reprint multiple wristbands in a single admission, which we were doing with our previous solution due to bar-code scanning issues. We really like the ability to include the VA logo and facility name, right on the wristband, and customize it to meet our needs. The customer support approach was very much appreciated. Any issues were resolved within two days or less, and the implementation was easy." VA Facility
"We began using EndurID armbands and the bioPoint PI software in May 2009 as our Respiratory Department began electronic medication administration. Over the next three months we began the same process in all our inpatient nursing departments. We considered quality armbands essential to the early success of this project. Since we were expecting caregivers to scan the patient armband with every medication administration we wanted to provide them the best possible armband for scanning.
We are proud to say that in the three months since implementation our patient armbands have been scanned in over 96% of medication administrations – almost 60,000 doses in that time.
I attribute this to a few things. First, we were able to place multiple small, two-dimensional barcodes all over the armband without sacrificing barcode quality. With our patient population the armband curvature made one-dimensional barcodes almost impossible to use with consistent success. Second, the quality of the armband material itself allowed us to print these small barcodes on laser jet printers – with barcode quality equivalent to what thermal printers produce and without needing a laminate overlay to prevent smudging.
From my perspective this was the most successful aspect of the entire project. Because we have had no issues with the armband scanning we were able to respond much more quickly to other procedural issues related to the project overall."

"Our deployment of the Bio-Optronics (Patient ID Wristband) / Endur ID wristband system was completely trouble free. The system is extremely easy to use. The support given by Bio-Optronics and Endur ID during implementation was outstanding." Jeff Couch, Information Systems Manager, Shepherd Center
